I recently worked on an unusual abstract piece for an upcoming exhibit titled “Prescribed Expression”. The opening for this event is Wednesday, May 2nd. Opening remarks begin at 6:30PM.

A friend helped me build the top part of the tapestry. I carefully picked out the wood I’d use and I love how perfectly it matches.

Messages are interwoven into the threaded part of the hanging mechanism.

I titled this piece “Reclaimed Canvas” for physical and metaphorical reasons. The final tapestry is size 40 x 28 and the final piece can be viewed at the exhibit I mentioned above.
