I didn’t use color in my artwork until challenged to participate in a 40-day Challenge in the New Year (2017). I love the contrast of black and white but I’m also grateful I was able to explore new ways of creating by using color.
Here, my work is tight, methodical, and constricted. I also did much larger pieces during this time. I would draw tiny designs on watercolor paper (size 26×30) and it would take me hours-and by hours I mean around 40-60 hours to finish.

I also started exploring using teabags toward the end of 2017. You’ll see much more of my teabag art in 2018.
