My process begins with a few black lines. Sometimes I activate the canvas by using ink and other times graphite.

It was at this point I was feeling very insecure about her and I considered throwing it in the trash about a dozen times. I messaged my friend Jenn and she said “push past the uncomfortable”

So I kept going.

Even though I didn’t really want to.

At the end I added tiny details to her eyes because it felt right.

Finished! The original sold but I’m working on creating prints of “Girl”.
